Jordon had his 3 month scan and check up last Tuesday. His blood work looked WONDERFUL. His ANC (immune system) still makes him immunocompromised, but again the doctors say that it could take a few months to recover. This is why he still receives the breathing treatments every month. His LDH (the last time this was taken was at the beginning of diagnosis) was within normal range. When he was diagnosed this was 10 times what it should have been which was a good indicator of cancer. So I feel very good that especially this number was within normal range. His platelets and hemoglobin were normal range and they were both low at diagnosis and during treatment. The scan showed a stable mass in the same area it has always been but appears to still be "dying" tissue and there are no new lesions. So Jordon will have another scan in 3 months and we will fervently pray for continued recovery of his ANC and continued remission and cure! We also thank God every day for this opportunity to grow closer to Him and we pray that we will continue to seek Him everyday.
Jordon has played a few more baseball games and it is as he hasn't missed a beat. He is enjoying his team and attending school every day. His ankle appears to be better (or enough so to play baseball). Jordon struggles a little bit with adjustment issues at home and he sometimes forgets that he can do things for himself. I guess he was a bit spoiled over the last few months. Fortunately, he wants to play baseball enough that we know he is well enough to resume all chores and is not as limited as he was. Thank you for checking in on us.
