No (Medical) Restrictions

The port is out!!!!!  Jordon is cancer free and port free!!! Praise the Lord!!!!

We thought it would be nice to have a late appointment.  The kids were able to sleep in and we allowed Jordon to sleep till 9:30 am since the appointment wasn't until 12:45 pm and the drive is about 2 1/2 hours.  But I realize that while there are pros to late appointments sometimes later in the day face backlog.  The doctor assigned to Jordon's surgery was running late in her previous appointment.  Finally about 3 pm another doctor came in and asked if it would be okay if he performed the procedure since the other doctor was still in surgery.  The doctor that came in was also the same doctor that did an excellent job on Jordon's last biopsy in February and was correct in his belief that the section of tissue he took was going to come back necrotic (dead) tissue.  We were blessed to have him do both procedures.  Again one of those moments where I realized that the Lord's timing is BEST.

Jordon was out in no time-probably 30 minutes!  It took a bit for him to wake up but once he did we were out the door and on our way to a hotel.  I thought it would be best if we were close to the hospital in the event that we would need to return.  Fortunately, Jordon recovered quickly with minimal pain.

The following day we went to The City Museum.  Jordon's left arm was a bit sore and it was raining so we didn't stay long.  But I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are in the city for a day or two.

We are still continuing to adjust and life is wonderful.  We continue to be thankful for the many blessings and all the things the Lord has provided.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.  Romans 8:28
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
We continue to pray for all of the children that are suffering and prayers to the family for strength.  We pray that Jordon continues to be healed.  We praise the Lord for all his blessings and comfort He brings.

First day of school 2012 and first day of middle school for Jordon!!!!
Last year he didn't get to attend the first day of school.  So exciting what a difference a year can make.
