No news is good news

When looking at my previous post today, I realized I haven't posted for well over a week.  So I will try and update everything in one post.

The Friday before last Jordon entered the hospital for his first maintenance chemo.  Three of the four chemotherapies were identical to what he received in the induction stage of his regime and the fourth chemotherapy was much less.  Additionally, he received one intrathecal versus three during induction.  Jordon's doctor came in and answered yet many more questions for me.  I had not spoken with her in person since she told us over the phone that they were going to begin maintenance instead of a bone marrow transplant.  She told me that they would monitor Jordon through scans to affirm that the tumor is not growing (which would put him right back at getting the transplant).  Of course the continued prayer is for the tumor to disappear, not grow, for maintenance to work, and for him to be cured!

Jordon was there only 4 days (shortest stay yet) but the busiest he has ever been-pictures below.

Jordon "making a movie" for the hospital

Jordon making a butterscotch shake-his new favorite

Playing just dance with another patient on the floor

                                                    Jordon's Mii

Giving the nurses a shot-of water

                                          Discussing his Make-A-Wish.

Dousing yet another nurse.  Don't know why the love him :)!

On Monday, before Jordon left the hospital he received, hopefully his last, intrathecal injection of chemotherapy.  Soon after he woke from the anesthesia, we left the hospital.  About 10 minutes on the road and Jordon had me pull over because he was sick to his stomach.  A quick phone call to the doctor, some reassurance that it was ok to proceed home, and Monday evening we were home.  The rest of the week brought a little bit of school and a Halloween party for 6 pre-teen girls and of course a World Series win!

Jordon's next scheduled visit is November 15 for three days of chemotherapy at the hospital and three days at home.  Prayers that no unscheduled visits will occur-he certainly enjoys his time home.

Love to all, I will try and update more frequently.
