Seems as though we are still seeing some effects from chemotherapy and are waiting for his "numbers" to recover on their own. After the biopsy they discontinued the Neupogen. Primarily the Neupogen was used to recover his counts in time for the next chemo or for the biopsy or to keep him from being neutropenic for a long time during an illness. After the biopsy we have seen a slow decline in his counts. His A.N.C. (absolute neutrophil count or "immune" system) was down to 350 on Monday (normal is 2000-3000 and anything under 500 is severe risk of infection). Today his A.N.C. was slightly improved at 555, however slight it is above 500!
Jordon enjoyed a birthday party this weekend and has attended school a couple of days this week.
Next thing planned is an x-ray and visit with the doctor that performed the biopsy to make sure his lungs are clear and he is healing properly from the biopsy. Thanks for checking in on us, and thank you for celebrating with us!
