All went well with Jordon's last chemo. We arrived at Childrens around 10 am on Tuesday morning. They quickly got Jordon admitted and to our surprise he was admitted to the very first room Jordon had on the 9th floor after diagnosis (of course by chance it was the only room available). It was kind of like the beginning and the end. The entire time we were there we had a good feeling about everything. In the hallway I ran into the ambulance nurse that took us up to Children's the day they found the tumor. Everyone on the floor said their farewells and told Jordon to come back and visit. On Wednesday, after the arrival of friends and family, Jordon proudly rang that bell. Afterwards we had a celebration down the hall. The doctors reserved the room for Jordon so that we could celebrate. He had so much fun, thank you to everyone that celebrated with us and everyone that was with us in spirit. We love all of you very much !
It was necessary for Jordon to be admitted to receive one of his chemo's which he completed on Thursday afternoon. Jordon will complete a few more infusions here at home and be finished on Sunday ! We are still prayerful that Jordon will never walk through those hospital doors to be admitted again. That is what we celebrated Wednesday-his last chemo admission ! Along with chemo, Jordon also came home with antibiotics. When we arrived Tuesday, Jordon told his doctor of some pain he had been having in his jaw. Jordon was also concerned because there was a lump just above his jaw bone. His doctor believes it is a cyst or an infection and placed him on an antibiotic.
We will return to Children's on Tuesday for a PET scan. Many prayers that Jordon is and will forever remain cancer free. Prayers that he will not endure any long term side effects of chemotherapy. Prayers that he will live a long, healthy life for Christ. We never know what tomorrow will bring, and cause we are able, we are celebrating today.
