The whole family was there to celebrate the good news on Jordon's biopsies yesterday. This is the first time the girls have seen him since we have been in St. Louis and the first time I have seen the girls. What a wonderful family moment. Through all of this Jordon has not cried since the first day he was so sick with pain. However, when Taylor went to give him a hug he had a tear in his eye. It was sweet and emotional. He tried to hide it and Taylor had missed him so much she thought he was pushing her away. It is moments like these you realize unconditional love, even that of a 10 and 11 year old brother and sister.
This morning I left the hospital to take the girls to Jefferson City for their annual check ups. Kenny stayed in the hospital with Jordon and around 5:00 I called him to see if they had had the results on the CT scan. Kenny said that the tumor had not shrunk as much as they had hoped and that we would be doing a little bit different protocol. They told Kenny Jordon is stage III and that his group is "c". Group "a" is a mild chemo treatment, "b" is a moderate chemo treatment, and "c" is a more intense chemo treatment. Last week they did the moderate treatment. I suppose that they attempt "b" to see how the tumor responds and since it didn't respond ideally we will be getting the more intense chemo treatment. Kenny also told me that they said this type of cancer can be totally cured.
I will be traveling back up there tomorrow. I have a hard time driving on a highway that is more than two lanes in bright, perfectly clear weather, so I will not be heading back in the dark. Pray that the weather is clear for my travel tomorrow.
God has blessed me with so much more than I deserve. As a sinner, I deserve NOTHING but because of His grace I have EVERYTHING.
Prayers for tonight. Praise be to the Lord the Father of compassion and all comfort. Pray for the chemo treatment to go well tomorrow and effectively. Pray for peace in our hearts.
