That is a VERY common phrase around here.
Once again Jordon was not able to eat anything until after his PET scan. He actually wanted to eat too! At 1:00 they came to get us for the PET scan. That was interesting, I had no idea they would put radioactive fluids into his IV. When we got down there it took a while, they had spelled his name Geifer instead of Geiser, so by the time we got back to the room it was after 4:00. When we got back Jordon ate and ate and ate. He also had his basketball buddy Avery in his room waiting for him to play basketball. They shot a couple hoops and played a game of checkers and then we were told we could go to the outside garden! How exciting! Jordon got to be outside for the first time in a week.
Another exciting thing is that they took the pulse ox off of Jordon because they say that he is responding well to his first chemo treatment. Other good news is that the PET scan did not show any other "hot spots" in his lymph nodes and that the only lymph node that has cancer cells in it is the mass in his chest. They will give us another round of chemo on Wednesday and they are hoping we will go home next Friday or Saturday!!!!!
In other news we did not hear final results from the spinal fluid or bone marrow biopsy. Like I said...hurry up and wait is a common phrase. But we want them to get the diagnosis exactly right so we will patiently wait.
I will love You O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress an my deliverer; my God, my strength in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3
