First things first-if they can fit us in tomorrow morning Jordon may be able to get his last intrathecal injection for the week. That means tomorrow, when you think about it, please pray that everything goes/is going well. And if everything goes really well, we will get to come home Thursday!!!!! I had another "class" today on taking care of Jordon's picc line. They don't go over this until they prepare you to go home! The guy talked about the importance of being sterile when injecting heparin and saline into the line, how to care for it, and what NOT to do. Since everyone has their specialty here, we had not been told the don'ts when having a picc line. Jordon has done just about all of them :). He told Jordon to not play Wii, no sports, PE, recess, or anything else that could compromise the picc line. He said his sisters can punch and kick him in the left arm but not in the right :). The line goes right to the heart so any breakage or damage could become an issue. Again since he has had it, I know he has played LOTS of Wii and a shot some hoops, praise the Lord nothing happened and he had a great time.
Jordon's immunity is on the decline-but this is good cause this is when the chemo works its best. Jordon told me tonight he felt a pecking in the tumor area, so if it is the chemo working he can tell. Again he is feeling really good. Everything about him seems so ok. His attitude is great, he looks great, and he feels great! He explained to the doctor and assured them that he completely understood his diagnosis, prognosis, protocol, and care at home. Since he seems to be handling this so well, they wanted to make sure he is not holding anything back. And from the look of it, he is just a strong, tough kid. God is good. He has given Jordon the strength to deal with this and He has given me more strength than I ever thought was possible. He also has given me the words and courage to share with everyone-for the words I write on this blog are NOT mine.
So again please pray that everything goes well tomorrow. Pray that when we are at home he will heal and be well (that germs will not enter his body when he is not able to fight them off). Pray that the Lords will be done in everything we do and that when we make decisions it will be what the Lord wants us to do. Still pray for the doctors knowledge in dealing with this. Thank you everyone.
His works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. Deuteronomy 32:4
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
